The founder of the company, Mr. Georgios D. Barbounis, began his business activities in 1972, establishing the first family business focused on supplying water to local areas. Over the years, he created other companies with different products and services, always in the form of family-run businesses.
Thus, he founded the company YDRAMA ATE in 2000, initially focusing on construction projects.
However, Mr. Georgios D. Barbounis, anticipating the upcoming downturn in the construction sector, decided to move into the production and trade of plastic products, changing the company’s focus to
MANUFACTURE OF PET BOTTLES AND SIMILAR ITEMS FROM PLASTIC MATERIALS.
In the last quarter of 2008, the company purchased plastic blow molding machines and the customer base from FIALOPLAST EPE. It also absorbed the employees who were part of their production team. To this day, some of these employees have been evaluated, others have remained, and some have left.
Over the years since then, the old plastic machines have been replaced with new ones, in line with the current technological advancements in the production of plastic and PET products.
The company’s aim is to provide continuous customer satisfaction through ongoing technological advancements in the production of plastics, thereby delivering value to customers by offering high-quality products, and creating and maintaining the best business and personal relationships with clients, which form the foundation of its successful growth to date.
The company, considering that it began its activities in the plastics production sector during very difficult economic conditions in Greece.
In 2012, the founder, Mr. Georgios D. Barbounis, passed away, and the management of the company was assumed by Ms. Despina G. Barbouni, who holds a Master in Business Administration (M.B.A).
Scope of the Quality Management System
Scope of the Quality Management System The scope of the company’s QMS is: production and distribution of plastic containers, caps, and handles. The Quality Management System is applied across all company facilities.
